Military & Veteran Community

Creating a Military-Thriving Culture

Northern Virginia is home to one of the largest and most skilled military-connected populations in the country, and we’re committed to helping them thrive. The Northern Virginia Total Military Community Alliance (TMCA) brings together employers, community partners, and support networks to serve Transitioning Service Members, Military Spouses, and Veterans. Driven by the Northern Virginia Regional Commission and Fairfax County Economic Development Authority, TMCA is the backbone of this collaborative network. It drives programs, career fairs, and resources that connect talent with opportunity while building a strong foundation for long-term workforce success.

Our mission is to transform Northern Virginia’s military-friendly culture into a military-thriving one, where military-connected individuals succeed in civilian life and employers tap into their unmatched potential.
