When Amit Chauhan graduated from University of Maryland, he was faced with a decision: work for one of the region’s large companies or take a chance on a budding startup.

His curiosity and interest in building something unique led him to a career at Macedon Technologies where he specializes in software development, project delivery and team management. Since joining Macedon in 2011, he’s helped grow the company from a six-person startup to a leader in software innovation with more than 100 employees.

A D.C. metro native, Amit Chauhan has called Fairfax NOVA home for more than a decade and doesn’t see that changing anytime soon. In his free time, you can find him exploring Burke Lake Park or visiting breweries like Aslin Beer Company. An avid video gamer, Amit participates in a program called Extra Life, where he channels his love for gaming to raise money for local children’s hospitals.
